Position Overview

Compass Academy is currently seeking a Recruitment Manager.  Reporting to the Director of Operations, and working in partnership with the Middle School Director, the Manager will monitor, update, and implement Compass Academy’s recruitment plan, oversee key recruitment strategies, and lead the administration of the enrollment and registration process. The Manager is responsible for implementing targeted recruitment initiatives, developing, supervising, and training key operations staff and outreach staff, and coordinating external outreach and events. The Manager also crafts communications and oversees communication strategies across multiple platforms, including print, digital, and social media campaigns. The Manager leads in developing plans and initiatives to recruit a diverse student and staff population. 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities: To include, but are not limited to: 

Student Recruitment & Enrollment

  • The update and implementation of the Compass Academy recruitment plan.
  • Overseeing key recruitment strategies and responsibility for targeted recruitment initiatives; while developing, supervising, and training the operations and outreach staff/volunteers.
  • Spend time at and with our prospective students and families at their schools, community centers, churches, etc.
  • Meet enrollment goals for local geographical area while also upholding ethnic, diversity, and cultural objectives.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships and perform on-going outreach with local feeder elementary and middle schools, and key public school constituents.
  • Provide campus leadership with updates about the recruitment and marketing plan with the purpose of promoting Compass Academy’s profile and general recruitment efforts and manage recruitment budget.
  • Meet regularly with the Middle School Director about the progress of the plan.
  • Lead in the development, maintenance and execution of the communication plan to prospective students, parents, admitted students and the community at large.
  • Assist prospective students and their families with choice application process.
  • Work with the school to develop and monitor statistical reports to enhance recruitment strategies, future forecasting, operational efficiency and enrollment planning initiatives.
  • Calendar the yearly recruitment process and share information with school personnel, as well as participate in operations team meetings.
  • Work with the operations and outreach staff to organize student shadow programs, community nights, and other formal and informal programs and visits.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Staff Recruitment

  • Develop and implement a staff recruitment plan for Compass Academy that aligns with the vision and the mission of the school.
  • Oversee key recruitment strategies and communication for the staff recruitment.
  • Spend time at and with prospective staff at networking events, job fairs, and education events.
  • Develop and maintain close working relationships and perform on-going outreach with local teacher education organizations, colleges, and universities.
  • Calendar and codify the yearly staff recruitment process and share information with the school team.
  • Work with the operations and outreach staff to organize programs and visits for prospective teachers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

Requirements:

  • Has at least 2 years’ experience in a school setting (start-up setting preferred)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience
  • Experience with Culturally & Linguistically Diverse Students, preferred
  • Communication and relationship-building skills with experience cultivating strong connections with students, families, and community stakeholders
  • Ability to work in a team, with a do-what-it-takes attitude, strong work ethic and organizational skills, and great sense of humor
  • Belief in Compass’ mission and vision including the belief that all children can succeed in school, college, career and life
  • Demonstrated record of student recruitment
  • Proven track record of delivering results against metrics
  • Commitment to growth and reflection through coaching and professional development
  • Spanish language fluency required
